Fairy Realm

I LOVE making playful art and connecting with my inner child.  It relaxes me, brings me joy, and is just plain fun!  When my children and I go for walks, we find ourselves collecting twigs, bark, and acorns as potential building materials for fairy structures.   A winding branch becomes a stair railing, a chunky piece of bark is a roof shingle, and an acorn cap is transformed into a miniature dinner bowl.  Once home with my nature collection, I can easily spend hours sorting through my materials, imagining, and constructing a whimsical home.  I also find needle felting and watercolor to be meditative.  Here are some examples of my fairytale inspired creations.
